There are an abundant number of ways to make a conscious effort toward minimizing our carbon footprint. Whether it is riding our bikes to work, remembering our reusable coffee cups, or buying produce from our local farmstand. Even peeing in the shower can save gallons of water each year. Grossed out? Yeah probably not, we see your smirk as you silently applaud yourself for unintentionally doing good for the environment. Anyway, enough about shower practices. Here, at Serious Business, we wanted to try a fun and creative way to positively impact our planet. Moreover, we want to show you all, that less is really more…more positive impact that is. To deepen our impact, we took an industry that emits more carbon emissions than international flights and maritime shipping combined: the fashion industry. Immense tons of textiles are discarded each year, which end up in landfills and even our oceans, in turn, contributing to the increasing amounts of microplastics in our water.

Helga, co-founder & Spirtual Leader of the office, volunteered to run this experiment. Is it possible to look and feel good with only 6 pieces of clothing for a full workweek? Helga got to the bottom of this and the results are inspiring. Sometimes revamping your wardrobe isn’t about going to the shops to buy something new, but rather playing around with different pieces you already own. #SustainableFashion
